How Many Days are Enough to Complete the NDA Syllabus?

The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the NDA exam to enrol the cadets for the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy Force. Unmarried male and female candidates are allowed to appear for the NDA exam twice in a year.

The aspirants can prepare for the NDA exam within 2 to 3 months that requires a 10+2 education to appear for the same. The NDS Syllabus for the written test comprises two papers that are held in offline mode. Paper 1 is for mathematics, and Paper 2 is for the General Ability Test & English.

The NDA exam selection has two tiers – an SSB interview and a written test. In this article we have prescribed the time that is needed to complete the NDA syllabus .

NDA exam: Day 1 to Day 15

We will start the NDA exam preparation with the NDA Maths since, if we cannot clear the Maths paper, the GK paper will not be checked after. The Maths preparation of NDA will be completed from the best source of Maths – By RS Agarwal.

Topics Exact number asked in exam Marks
Differential calculus and integral calculus 24-26 Questions 60-65
Trigonometry 20-22 Questions 50-55
Algebra 20-22 questions 50-55
Statistics and Probability 10-12 Questions 25-30

Analytical Geometry 18-20 Questions 45-50
Determinant and Matrices 8-10 Questions 20-25
Total 120 questions 300 marks

There are seven main pillars required to clear in these 15-days. It is impossible to complete RS Agarwal in 15-days, so we will study only the important topics. Below is the sequence one requires to follow:

  1. Differential calculus & integral calculus
  2. Trigonometry
  3. Analytical Geometry
  4. Vector Algebra
  5. Algebra
  6. Statistics and Probability
  7. Determinants and matrices

With NDA Maths preparation in these 15-days, one must dedicate one hour in English to complete the syllabus.

NDA Exam: Day 16 to Day 30

The questions are from the 12th NCERT for Chemistry & Physics in NDA exams. So, we can score at least 130+ out of 180 marks in these two significant subjects because we have thoroughly studied these in both Class 11th and 12th.

NDA Exam: Day 31 to Day 45

In the third slot of NDA preparation, we will not study anything new. We will revise the book “Mathematics for NDA and NA Book” & complete the topics of Maths.

Then, we will revise the NDA GAT paper sources for English to cover the remaining sources. For English, solve all the Comprehension, Find the error, & Fill in the Blanks of GAT paper from the Pathfinder book to yield 80-90 marks.

NDA Exam: Day 46 to Day 60

Slot 1 & 2 seems hectic, but you will get ample time for the revision and don’t try the additional subjects in the revision slot. If you have done the preparation vigorously, the result is for sure.
