It was built by Senecanation, with the main purpose of being able to compete with the Niagara Casino and also with the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, both located in Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada.
Years ago it was a small hotel known as the Niagara Civil and Convention Center, which was sold to the Sudan Freedom Program and later approved by the Federal Government in New York.

The Seneca Niagara casino gaming floor spanning over 13,700 square feet including 99 gaming tables and 4,200 gaming devices at its opening, is currently considered the largest hotel in Manhattan.
Seneca Niagara Casino was opened to the public in 2002 as a result of a convenient conversion of the Civil Center and the Niagara Casino Settlements, for about $ 80 million.

The Seneca Niagara Falls Casino is a few blocks from Niagara Falls State Park, built in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls. It is a resort with impressive views from all spaces, as well as having natural wonders that make this hotel an ideal destination for travelers.
On the day of its presentation, the Seneca hotel was named in the third category for its gambling within its casino; it is well known for having a style similar to that of “Las Vegas”. In this building you will find the best spas, amenities, VIP services and much more.
A vision beyond the ordinary
The ultimate goal of the construction of the Seneca Niagara Falls Casino project was to improve the community around the Falls to its former glory, as well as increase the possibilities of creating millions of jobs while promoting the economic independence of Seneca region.
The JCJ group fought to the limit to design and implement the first phase of this casino and hotel in Niagara, in just 100 days, and to become an obligatory reference for those who visit the place.
The initial stage of the complex began many years ago, with the conversion of a convention center that had more than 400,000 square feet, originally designed by Philip Johnson and used again in 1974, reaching the class III category of casino.
The Senecar Niagara Falls first stage included some 82,000-square-foot arcades, which housed more than 2,595 slot machines and 91 fun table games.
Design
And to complete the icing on the cake, it has a central bar called “Thunder Falls Buffet” that offers 350 seats for visitors at an informal dinner, in addition to the “Bear’s Den” showroom with a space of 440 complementary seats.
The entire hotel was built in record time, and as an important fact it is worth mentioning that its implementation was achieved below 12% of the budget.
Given the success of the first building, the JCJ team set out to begin designing the later phases of development immediately.
For this reason, for phase 2, additional operational facilities were included, such as: a new parking lot with capacity for 2,164 cars that were committed directly to the casino through a bridge.
